Peace and Love! My name is Tade (for short) and i am a Senior, double Majoring in Economics and Video Production. As strange of a combination that is, i believe they will both work hand in hand with my future goals. In addition to being a student at Rutgers Newark, i am also a performing artist within the bubbling Newark underground scene. My goal in life is to be a Cultural Activist; this is kind of where studying Economics and my love for creating Music and Visuals would play hand in hand. I plan to effect change in the world through art and starting a cultural movement.
I believe media has a huge part to play in the way the world works, whether that be for good or bad depends on the content that is being fed to the masses. The majority of the time, it is not the most progressive or edifying material that is being fed to us. My theory is if we started taking control and creating our own content, and created our own media outlets to connect directly to the people who would benefit from our content, we could start the change.
